the vast majority of building projects that involve a change or addition to the exterior or structure of a building require approval by the local authority planning department. once we have developed a scheme design that you, the client, is happy with we prepare planning drawings to obtain the necessary approvals. in some cases this is a straight-forward process, but in others, such as with listed buildings, conservation areas or particularly ambitious schemes, there may be a process of adaptation and alteration to achieve a design that all parties are happy with. this process is made easier by the strong working relationships we have developed with local planning authorities, where we liaise closely and regularly with them to ensure our designs meet their requirements. due to this ClearDesigns prides itself on a very high success rate on submissions.
